If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

THE ONE PARTY SYSTEM
How the Democrats Destroy the Republic
Forget about a meaningful Third Party; America is slowly becoming a One Party system. Through a variety of orchestrated changes to the American political system, Democrats have created – and Republicans have allowed – a system of gradual control by the Democrats. It has largely happened in California and a few other states, and it’s coming nationally.
Yes, it’s true that the two major parties roughly divide the 50% of the population that votes equally, leaving elections to be decided by the gray middle that calls themselves Independents. Actually, that rough “equality” has steadily grown to favor Democrats. In 2013, the distribution was 25% Republican, 31%Democrat and 42% Independent (Gallop). Republicans represent their lowest percentage in at least 25 years.
There are numerous reasons for this phenomenon, and I believe they are largely intentional efforts by Democrats to stack the deck, with the Republican establishment too focused on self-interest to fight back.
The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 (enacted June 30, 1968), abolished the National Origins Formula that had been in place since 1921. Championed by Ted Kennedy, President Johnson and other leading Democrats, this law dismantled the long-standing preference for immigrants from largely European countries. Instead, the law shifted preference to residents of third World countries – generally, uneducated, less able or willing to assimilate, and for whom “big government” Democrat policies would appeal.
At about the same time as the immigration shift, Lyndon Johnson’s “Great Society” programs were adopted with little Republican opposition. Medicare, food stamps and other socialist programs would join Social Security as the biggest consumers of government spending programs, expanding with every decade since. They would also convert the mindset of independent and self-reliant elderly Americans increasingly to seniors willingly dependent upon big government – and Democrats.
In the late 60s, Ted Kennedy once again pushed for reform that would create more Democrats by lowering the voting age from 21 to 18. This greatly added to the Democrat base and was tied to the requirement for military service as its justification: “old enough to serve; old enough to vote.” A secondary impact was that, along with relaxed voter qualification and registration requirements (also pushed by Democrats), college students were added to voter rolls. This meant that many towns with heavy student populations would have candidates, taxes, propositions and other issues often decided by young people who may just be “passing through,” and no real stake in long-term decisions resulting from their vote.
Tax “reform” over the years has largely been a matter of rewriting and adding to the obscene six-million-word tax code. The selling points have traditionally been to make the “rich” pay their “fair share” and to relieve the “poor” of an unfair burden. As a result, today, about half the population pay no federal income tax, making them beholden to Democrats who push for yet more voters exempt from this arguably corrupt system. In every election, the mantra is the same from the Democrats: “lower taxes for the poor.” Translation: “Vote Democrat and pay less.”
In addition to tax preferences, Democrats have mastered the art of giving “freebies.” They model themselves after the European welfare states, which offer cradle to grave benefits of “free” health care, education, job training, extended and paid vacations and childcare. Democrats promise all of these and more – even “free” Obama phones. The European states are all going broke, suffer massive unemployment, and economic stagnation, yet the Democrats continue to follow the model. Why? It get them voters.
For the past 50 years, the appearance, values, language and culture of America have been modified by the massive shift in immigration policy. In recent decades, the complexion has changed even more with hoards of illegal immigrants. Now, Democrats seek to shift the balance even further in their favor by admitting those who are destined for welfare and unemployment rolls, and represent cultures that are diametric to our own, and even destructive to it. Hundreds of thousands of Muslims are being invited into this country, though they bear no allegiance to it and include many who will wage violence and destruction given the chance. Democrats don’t care. They will sacrifice the country for votes.
AGENDA DRIVEN SINGLE ISSUES
Without regard for the general welfare of the public, and the long-term interests of the country, Democrats have courted and catered to various special interests: Gay rights, Abortion activists (and Planned Parenthood), and environmental groups with often spurious claims, have become dedicated Democrat voters. No Democrat would question their claims, or even open a dialogue regarding them. Instead, they color those who seek dialogue as waging “War on Women” or destroying the environmental. Man-made climate change is a “fact” and those who differ (including thousands of scientists) are heretics. These special interest groups have become a Democrat staple – and source of votes. They have also been useful in capturing the youth vote, typically impressionable and easily molded by “causes.” I recently had one woman, otherwise educated and financially well off, remark, “all I care about is abortion, gay marriage and social security.” Of course, her money was inherited, not earned, which may explain part of her position.
Unions have steadily declined in membership since their peak in 1950s with one exception: public employee unions. Unions represent a unified block, whether by allegiance or coercion, and have strong supporters of Democrats thanks to the almost unlimited support given to them by the Democrats. As a result, public employees have become more highly paid than private sector counterparts, hold more lucrative benefit and retirement programs, and continue to enjoy virtual immunity from firing. In one study reported in the National Review, unions were the biggest political donors from 1989 to 2009, with vast majorities going to Democrats and Democrat supporting groups.
Examples are numerous of voting and voter fraud:
precincts recording votes than registered
candidates (invariably Democrat) receiving a ridiculous 100% of the votes cast
voter rolls not purged for years and including felons and dead people
electronic voting machine tampering (machines serviced by UNION workers)
multiple votes being cast (often hundreds)
The potential for fraud has increased thanks to many programs pushed by Democrats over the years, including: same day registration, lax oversight of voter registration groups such as ACORN, lowered or no residency requirements, and, of course, lack of voter identification. Interestingly, the campaign issue for Democrats has been “voter disenfranchisement” while for Republics it has been proof of identity. Which one is designed to limit voter fraud?
Quite simply, modern Democrats have shown a greater allegiance to their Party than to the citizens or the country as a whole. They showed a willingness to give 100% support to a health care program which virtually none of them read, and which was provide a government take-over of 1/7 of the economy. Democrats are poised to give almost 100% support to a “deal” with Iran which will virtually assure them the capacity to develop nuclear weapons, and fund them with $150 billion to buy materials and weapons systems immediately – a catastrophic risk to the country. The mainstream media applaud this “unified” stance of Democrats, while deriding the legitimate debates among Republicans based on principles. The uninformed electorate takes this headline as Democrat-good, Republican-bad. See “Useful Idiots.”
For various reasons that could comprise another whole essay, the following groups are slobbering supporters of Democrats, and virtually sworn enemies of anything bearing a hint of Republican:
Education. 13% of 4-year college professors consider themselves Republican; the rest are radical Left, Moderate Left or independent (trust me, they lean left). The trend has now advanced to K-12 systems as well, with a good deal of Leftist political advocacy.
Pop Culture. When was the last time you heard of anything coming out of Hollywood that was supportive of Republicans that was NOT put out by Dinesh D’Souza?
Media. Which of the following have a Conservative bias: New York Times, Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, MSNBC, CNN, Newsweek (the list could go much longer)? Answer: None.
UN/NOW. The United Nations, and affiliated organizations like the World Health Organization, have become fronts for Leftist/Democrat programs such as “Global Warming” and the “New World Order.” Democrats regularly cite data from these groups as evidence of their wrong-headed and often fraudulent causes. With the media as their friends, such promotion once again finds its way into the mass of useful idiots to become gospel.
None of the foregoing could have been successful without the assistance of Republicans. The fundamental problem has been a lack of backbone, coupled with an inability or unwillingness to articulate a superior message. Republicans have regularly snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, the Romney loss to Obama being a recent example. Democrats play hardball, and they cheat at that; Republicans play hackey-sack - by the rules.
The greatest fault among Republicans lies with their “leadership,” or rather, their establishment members. These people have served too long, become too comfortable, and, through the seniority system, have wrested too much power. They are the McConnells, the Hatches, the McCains, and the Grahams. These Republicans have been aptly named “RINOs – Republicans in Name Only. Their allegiance is not to the traditional values and principles espoused by Reagan, Goldwater and even Lincoln.
No, they have drifted so far left that they are indistinguishable from traditional Democrats. We have become a One Party system – the party of the Left: Socialists, New Democrats, and Republicrats.
The only hope for Republicans is EXACTLY the opposite of what “experts” would have you believe, including Fox News, the Wall Street Journal, and their various columnists and pundits. The only ones who seem to get it are those in conservative Talk Radio.
That hope is in the new guard that is rising up within the Party: Ted Cruz, Mike Lee and other vocal opponents of the status quo. They are smart, articulate, fearless – and ideologically correct! They have the right message and the ability to sell it to the American people despite the odds. This may be the last presidential election to push back the migration to the Left and return to a Constitutional America. The truth has very few friends in politics or the media, but it remains the truth.
In a year, we will find out whether the truth can overcome all the gimmicks, lying, cheating, and fraud pushed by Democrats, and acquiesced by establishment Republicans. If not, Goodbye America as we know it.
